Sai Kung Tinhau and Guandi Temple
Sai Kung Tinhau and Hiptin Temple, situated at Po Tung Road, Sai Kung, is a Grade III historic building preserving Chinese history and traditional culture. It is not only a religious centre in Sai Kung district but also a place of origin for district government, economy and education. Tinhau Temple has a history of over 100 years and was restored in 1965 and 1993 respectively. Hiptin Temple is also known as Guandi Temple, which was relocated from “Tan Cheung” in Sai Kung town to stand next to Tinhau Temple in 1916, and both of them were redeveloped into the current Sai Kung Tinhau and Guandi Temple.
