Sai Kung Tinhau and Guandi Temple is a Grade III historic building preserving Chinese history and traditional culture. It is not only a religious centre in Sai Kung district but also a place of origin for district government, economy and education. The 100th Anniversary Celebration of Sai Kung Tinhau and Guandi Temple will be held from 17 to 22 November 2016, featuring carnival-type/temple fair night market stall activities including stall games, local creative stalls and traditional specialty snack stalls, etc. In addition to bazaar market stalls, interested members of the public can enjoy a number of Cantonese opera shows and performances of classic goldies by local singers in the bamboo theatre. Through the temple fair celebration, it is hoped that Chinese traditional culture can be further promoted among locals and overseas visitors.
